He expressed his disappointment.The report stated that both men have been school dropouts. He stated that the men had no previous conviction. He said that whatever sentence is arrived at by the court must still give the men a chance to be able to return to society and make a contribution when their term of imprisonment is over.Justice Holder before pronouncing sentence admonished both men for the dastardly act committed on a fellow human being.  He asked what would drive someone to want to kill another person. He said it was clearly not a case of self defence.“How could the two of you plan to kill.” He reprimanded Shaw for being the mastermind.The judge asked Angrashalam, “What did the victim do you? You were an employee of Shaw and it does not mean that you would follow all the instruction that he gave you.”Justice Holder then asked the two men if they had anything to say. Shaw called “Taliban” stated “I am sorry sir”, Angrashalam took some time before answering. “I am innocent of this story.”The judge  told Shaw that he had in mind 22 years in jail, but will subtract five years. You are sentenced to 17 years in jail. The judge then told Angrashalam that he had 17 years in mind, but will minus five years. He is sentenced to 12 years in jail.Attorney at law Bacchus subsequently told the media that an appeal has since been filed. He cited the reason as – inadmissible evidence been admitted. Summing up in favour of prosecution and the defence of the appellant was not put to the jury.
